The Skunk XLarge Duffle Bag offers top-of-the line patented activated carbon technology and features a silver antibacterial lining. This is the largest of the Skunk brand odor proof duffle bags with dimensions of 35 x 17 x 16 inches. Activated carbon neutralizes odors and traps harmful chemicals and gases in its pores to provide relief from offensive odors and bacteria contained. It works by absorbing molecules in it’s proximity, similar to the way a sponge absorbs water on contact.
When the odor molecules come into contact with the activated carbon, they are trapped within the pores, where they stay locked and neuturalized. Absorption capacity and efficiency depends on the product and care, but usually will last for 6 to 9 months, after which it can be easily re-activated.
You can re-activate your bag by putting it in the dryer or using a hair dryer on high heat. The heat from the dryer will break the bonds with the odoriferous compounds. The odor compounds are released and the activated carbon is as good as new.
